Portland for All
Endorsement Process
Apply for Our Endorsement
Portland for All will endorse City of Portland City candidates running in November 2024. We want to support value-aligned candidates who believe in a hopeful, positive, and inclusive vision for our future. We will endorse leaders who are accountable to everyday working people, not beholden to wealthy special interests. We’re interested in viable candidates committed to working for a region where all of us are treated with dignity and love, who have an actionable plan to make that vision possible.
Mayor
Endorsement criteria
Portland for All will endorse candidates in each City of Portland district who are viable and values-aligned.
Viability: We will screen candidates with at least 750 individual donors (in and outside of Portland), have secured meaningful endorsements, and have a feasible win plan.
Values alignment: We will evaluate the candidate’s responses to the Oregon Future’s Lab Switchboard questions and our supplemental questions.
How to Apply
Portland for All is participating in Oregon Futures Lab’s City of Portland Candidate Switchboard. Candidates applying for our endorsement should complete the Switchboard questions and our supplemental questions to be considered.
We recommend candidates make a copy of our supplemental questions, and draft their answers separately before submitting their application through our Portland Mayor Endorsement Application. If you have any questions, you can contact team@portlandforall.org

Endorsement Process
Our endorsement process will be led by Portland for All volunteers. Each district will have a set of volunteers reviewing applications and making endorsement decisions. Each district will also have a lead volunteer serving as a point of contact between Portland for all and candidates in that district. Portland for All will continue sharing the names of volunteers involved in endorsement decisions to provide transparency in our decision-making. Our endorsement process was created by Moira Bowman, Sara Fischer, Stephen Gomez, Diane Goodwin, Lucia Longoria, Matt McNally, Andrés Oswill, Breanna Smith, and Jackie Yerby.
